Jack Brand

(W. Germany/Canada) Goalkeeper West Germany 8/4/1953. A much traveled player, Named by his peers as North American Player of the Year and was Goalie of the Year in "Soccer America" poll, honors earned by breaking the all-time league record with 15 shutouts, with a remarkable 0.91 goals against average.  Often a substitute or backup, he found a starting role in 1980 with the Seattle Sounders in 1980.
